Data Science Minor Hometown: Denver, Colorado Career Goal: Carlisle aspires to work with kids with special needs after finding a passion for working with this community in high school. She would like to help the community in any way that she can and thus doesn't know if this will lead her into pediatrics or some sort of genetic medicine, but she has an open mind for the future. Other Activities Involved In: research at the CSI Cancer Institute , director of communications of Kicks for Kids, member of Pi Beta Phi sorority, intern at Trophikos What advice would Carlisle give to a prospective student? Carlisle would tell a prospective student to not be afraid of taking as many different classes as possible. USC offers so many great classes, and she has found that it's very important to take advantage of that, even through your GE's. What has been the most rewarding part of being a Keck student? Carlisle believes that the most rewarding part of being a Keck student is being able to talk with the unique professors. Many of the professors have shown her the different ways that someone can be involved in healthcare without being premed, which has been immensely helpful while she has been molding her future career goals. |
