Hometown: Downey, CA Career Goals: Dianna aspires to work as a primary care physician, specifically a family medicine practitioner. She hopes to help immigrant families, that are in need of medical care and attention but do not have the financial resources to afford it. Dianna's goals include: to help push for medicare for ALL, advocate for change to minimize the consequences of climate change, and ultimately give back to her community and family. The best piece of advice that Dianna has ever received was from her HP professor named Ed Avol. The advice was "Do not disqualify yourself." This perspective changed the way she views opportunities - whether it be in her career or life in general. She plans to carry this single piece of advice as she applies to different PA schools. What has been the most rewarding part of being a Keck student? Dianna believes that the most rewarding part of being a Keck student is being able to gain a multidisciplinary education while also developing a holistic view of the world of medicine and clinical practice. She enjoys Keck's emphasis on not only being a patient care provider but also advocating for our patients' rights and speaking out for those who cannot speak for themselves. |
