Business Minor Hometown: Wilmington, DE Career Goal: Emily aspires to work in the intersection of global health and business, pursuing a career in impact investing for global health. She hopes to use business frameworks that are proven to be profitable and sustainable to change the way global health interventions are funded. Emily’s advice to prospective students would be talk to as many people as you can–classmates, professors, even people in the elevator! Everyone has a different perspective and a unique history that is worth sharing. USC has such a wide network of incredibly accomplished individuals; there is so much to learn just from listening to them. The connections Emily has made throughout her time here have been invaluable, and she encourages prospective students to explore and learn as much as they can. What has been the most rewarding part of being a Keck student? For Emily, the most rewarding part of being a Keck student is knowing that you are surrounded by people who want to make a difference in the lives of others. Every member of the Keck community aspires to change the world for the better, and being in an environment where no one is afraid to dream big is inspiring. Sometimes, it can be discouraging to think about all of the global health issues in the world, but the Keck community of students, professors, and alumni is always there to support you and remind you why we must keep going. |
