Sophomore Global Health Major Economics Minor Hometown: Charlotte, NC Career Goal: Rhea is interested in the public health sector, where she hopes to do research or policy work. She plans to get her MPH with a focus in health policy or biostatistics. She wants to address health disparities and improve health outcomes around the world. Rhea feels that the most rewarding part of being a Keck student is the wide variety of classes offered and the incredible professors that teach them. From the introduction level to specific upper division classes, she continues to learn new and insightful things each day. She is grateful that Keck Professors are committed to sharing current events and facilitating lively discussions in class and are also willing to make time to speak with students outside of class. What has been Rhea's favorite Keck class and why? Rhea's favorite Keck class has been HP 270 (Introduction to Global Health) with Dr. Ferguson. She is thankful for the opportunity to learn from an experienced and talented professor. The class has provided her with the knowledge and passion to continue with Upper Division HP electives. She was able to learn a lot about the field of global health and confirm that it would be a great major and eventual career path for her. |
