Hometown: Seattle, WA Career Goal: Sarah plans to earn a Progressive Degree in Public Health and acquire her M.D. in order to work in family medicine. She aspires to serve communities of color in her hometown of Seattle and help make healthcare more accessible for our most vulnerable communities. If Sarah could fix any health issue, it would be the lack of access to quality health services for individuals in the global South. She strongly believes access to healthcare is a human right and is not something that should be determined by one's socioeconomic status or geographical location. What advice would Sarah give to a prospective student? Sarah would tell prospective students to get involved as much as you can and do not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Your undergraduate years only happen once and it is important to make the most out of the time that you have, as it definitely goes by quickly. |
